- In the event of an accident the First Aid box is kept on the alcove above the fridge in the main club room. If anything is used please replace it and claim the cost from the club. The accident book is kept in the same alcove and must be completed for all accidents. If in any doubt as to the seriousness of the accident please call a paramedic.
- Bowling shoes must always be worn when playing bowls and bowling shoes must not be worn when leaving and returning to the bowling club premises.
- The club has a supply of bowls and bowling shoes of different sizes which can be used by visitors and members. These are kept in the changing room.
- If you bring a visitor to play bowls they will need to make a payment of £4.00 for each day. To comply with insurance purposes the visitor book must be completed and the fee placed in the box provided. These will be found on the table by the door giving access to the green. Special weekly rates are available.
- When playing practice games please ensure you are playing on the designated rink for that day. A board showing the designated rinks for each day can be found on the wall by the door giving access to the green.
- Travel arrangements. When playing away from home the driver is entitled to £3.00 from each passenger as a contribution towards his/her fuel. For games on Tyneside or Hexham the contribution is increased to £5.00.
- Pooled teas/suppers. Each member playing in a friendly for the club is expected to bring a contribution of something savoury or sweet towards the meal for themselves and a guest. Members are asked to help clear the tables and wash/dry dishes.
- Raffle. The club is now providing the main raffle prizes but contributions of extra prizes will be gratefully accepted.
- Smoking. There is a designated smoking area at the top right of the green farthest from the pavilion where there is a receptacle for cigarette ends. Smoking is not permitted anywhere else on our premises.
- Bottles of water/flavoured water are available in the fridge with a charge of 50p per bottle. The money should be placed in the honesty dish in the fridge.
- Leaving Club premises. Please ensure that all lights and heaters are turned off, including kitchen and toilet areas. Please ensure that all doors are locked. The outside door should be securely locked by the last person leaving by inputting the access code and then lifting the handle.
- Behaviour on the bowling club premises. Violence and offensive language will not be tolerated and may result in offenders being banned from the club.
- Members may only play in club matches and competitions after they have paid their annual membership fee when they will receive the club’s fixtures and events list.
- Wooler Bowling Club shirts, jackets and sweaters may be purchased from the club. Club bowls stickers and chalk sprays are also available to purchase Please ask a Committee Member if you wish to purchase any items.
