Northumberland Lottery
As many of you will know, the main hall of our clubhouse is now more than seventy years old and the oldest part of the building dates back to the 1920s. We need to replace, at a minimum, the oldest part which is deteriorating rapidly. In March this year our Club was accepted by the Charity Commission as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation ((CIO). It is hoped our new charitable status will improve our chances of obtaining grant funding towards building a new clubhouse, or at the very least replace the oldest part. Most funding organisations offer matched funding ( i.e. they will match the funds raised by ourselves).
As an important part of our Club’s fundraising efforts we have applied for registration with the Northumberland Lottery and our application has now been approved.
We have been provided with our own page within the Northumberland Lottery Website where supporters can register to buy tickets. Unlike many other lotteries, tickets are only £1 each and every week there is a £25,000 grand prize and many other prizes.
50% of the value of tickets purchased will come to our Club and 10% to other causes in Northumberland.
